Modern was born in the early 20th century and is a dance style that centers on a dancer's own interpretations instead of structured steps, as in classical ballet dancing. Modern dancers reject the limitations of classical ballet and favor movements derived from the expression of their inner feelings. These dancers favored a more relaxed, free style of dancing.

Best hiphop class I’ve ever gone to. Most dance teachers are (obviously) great dancers, but Tanji is also a great dance teacher. Would recommend and am definitely going back!! -

It was an amazing experience! I enjoyed the instructor’s techniques in helping me feel confident as this was the very first dance class I’ve ever taken in my entire life! I’m 38... It was a cultural experience as they taught about the traditional dance and drum, in which was used and taught us that dance is not only art but a full body work out! I will definitely be back for more! I highly recommend! It -
