Spanish 3

Building upon Spanish 1 and 2, Spanish 3 introduces students to stem-changing verbs, particularly those with "o-ue" patterns. The course expands your understanding of the verb tener (to have) through idiomatic expressions used to convey feelings such as being hot, cold, or afraid, as well as to express obligation and necessity. Students will learn to discuss future plans and intentions using the verb ir (to go), enabling them to communicate statements like "I am going to travel to Costa Rica next month." The course covers reflexive pronouns and verbs, allowing you to describe personal actions and routines. You will also master the present progressive tense, which uses "-ing" endings in English equivalents to describe ongoing actions such as "you are learning" or "we are writing." A central focus of Spanish 3 is developing the ability to articulate your daily routines, provide and request directions, and express actions occurring in the present moment, such as talking on the phone.

Pre-requisite: Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 classes or equivalent knowledge.
