Class Description

Description

Explore the traditional craft of hand embroidery in a welcoming environment designed for beginners. This course introduces the fundamental tools, basic stitches, color theory, and design principles essential to embroidery. Each class session features instructor demonstrations of key techniques, guided practice with step-by-step instruction, and dedicated time for individual creative work.

You will work with a pre-printed design throughout the class, allowing you to focus on mastering stitching techniques without the pressure of creating your own pattern. By the end of the session, you will have completed a finished embroidered piece that you can display or gift. The hands-on learning builds your confidence and provides the foundation needed to continue developing your embroidery skills independently.

A material fee of $10 is collected at the time of registration. This fee covers all materials provided by the instructor for use during the class session.

  • Hand Embroidery for Beginners

It was the instructors' first time teaching a class. She was nice and accommodating however, she needed a projector. Teaching a hand sewing class with ~20 people of various levels was difficult without showing something on a screen. The instructor had to walk around to each person anytime she showed a new technique. If you were the last person she got to it was frustrating. I think she took this feedback on board and maybe her next class will be bettet.
