Class Description

Description

Throughout this intermediate French course, you will expand your understanding of frequently used phrases and expressions, strengthen your capacity to discuss familiar topics and areas of personal interest, and develop an improved ability to convey information about your background and the world immediately around you. The course employs authentic resources and practical, real-world tasks to introduce you to how French operates in everyday situations and contexts.

Interactive multimedia activities, relevant texts, and carefully selected course materials will enable you to advocate for causes you believe in, recount your own personal memories and experiences, and articulate your wishes, dreams, and desires for the future. Your cultural learning will concentrate on contemporary French news outlets and media organizations. You will also examine French commerce and business practices, explore French websites, and read selections from French literature and novels. By the end of this course, you will express yourself with greater clarity, nuance, and confidence when discussing progressively more complex and sophisticated topics.

Required Textbooks and Course Materials

  • Cosmopolite 2, méthode de français (main textbook)
  • Cosmopolite 2, cahier d'activités (practice and activity workbook)
