Beginner Drawing + Illustration Techniques for Adults (Semester)
I'm relatively a beginner and this was a great course for me. It was a small class in a nice studio in Dumbo. The instructor Bradley was very nice, kind, and patient, and happy to help in anyway. All materials were provided so I didn't have to worry about buying or carrying anything. I'd definitely take another class here -

Teachers were super talented & knowledgeable & I appreciated that all materials (aside from a canvas) were included with the price of the class. I would have liked a little more hands-on instruction but I think part of it might be par for the course of doing just a drop-in mid-session as opposed to being around for the first few classes. Enjoyed my time but it is a bit expensive for a single class! -

Luminous layers: Watercolor and Gouache Workshop (Drop-In)
I did not find the class helpful. The instructor dove right into painting as soon as the class started and provided no introduction to the basics. He spoke about values and the color wheel as though the people in the class should already know this. When asked to expand on some of these concepts he came off as annoyed or surprised we didn’t already know. His instruction during the class was minimal except to critic what we were doing with no recommendations for how to fix or improve our pieces. He was not friendly or conversational and was on his phone a lot of the time. Nice person but should receive some training on how to actually teach a class.
