AI + Canva: Creating Marketing Materials for Makers is a beginner-friendly educational class designed to help makers, artists, crafters, handmade product creators, and creative business owners use artificial intelligence (AI) and Canva to develop professional-looking marketing materials for their businesses. Students will learn how AI can support creative brainstorming, marketing copywriting, content planning, and visual design while Canva provides the tools to turn those ideas into attractive, branded marketing assets.
This class is divided into two learning sections. Part 1 is a one-hour live virtual stream session that introduces the fundamental concepts, strategies, and best practices for combining AI with Canva. Students will explore how to generate marketing ideas, create compelling promotional messages, develop visual concepts, and maintain consistent branding. The live session includes a question-and-answer segment where students can ask questions and clarify key concepts.
Part 2 is a self-paced online learning experience in which students log into their student accounts and complete four course modules. Through guided lessons and practical activities, students will build on the concepts introduced during the live session and learn how to apply AI-assisted content creation and Canva design tools to their own creative businesses.
By the end of the class, students will have a better understanding of how to plan, write, design, and organize marketing materials that communicate their brand identity, showcase their products, and support their business marketing goals.
