Class Description

Description

Explore the rich diversity and remarkable versatility of sweet wines produced throughout the world in this engaging blind tasting class designed for wine enthusiasts.

Historically, sweet white wines dominated the world's most prestigious wine collections, but in recent years, there has been a renewed appreciation for dessert wines and their unique qualities. This course returns focus to the sweetness category, helping you learn about the world's classic dessert wines, their various homes and origins, the diverse production methods used to create them, and the distinct styles found across regions. You'll discover through guided tastings how factors like climate, soil composition, and cultural traditions shape the flavor profiles of these wines across different international regions. Despite their geographical differences, you will identify common threads that connect them.

This class is essential for anyone who loves dessert wines and those who want to expand their wine knowledge, develop their palate, and improve their tasting skills. The class features a comprehensive guided blind tasting experience of six different wines, allowing you to refine your ability to identify characteristics and appreciate the nuances of sweet wines.
