Beginner Acting I: The Basics
It was a transformative experience for me. In the past 8 weeks, our class went from strangers to close pals. We played “zip zap zop” games, memorized each other's names, acted out skits, learned the 5 W's - what, why, where, when, and who - and performed play excerpts and monologues. I explored a different side of myself - a more verbal, aggressive, louder, more expressive side. The acting tools we learned are not only useful in acting but in real life, such as conversational tools, you know what I mean, casting, the unimportant, urgency, impulse, gun drop, and more. The class made me feel so emotionally secure that I cried while acting Prima Facie. I am thankful for every member's 100% commitment. It was an unforgettable experience. -

I had a great experience with Improv I. Samantha was an excellent teacher who was able to get everyone to relax and actively participate and be invested in classes. I'd recommend taking the class for those at a beginner level who want to get started in Improv, or even for anyone who's just curious about what Improv is. -
