Location Location Location-How to Find Your Environment
ANDTheatre Company See all classes by this school @ 244 W 54th St, New York, NY
This workshop will focus on The WHERE of the scene. An element that often gets taken for granted in scenework. Let's take time to organically build locations from the floor up. In taking our time, what information do we learn about the WHO & the WHY? Often an expected call is made by the improvisor, "Where are we?" An answer is heard from an audience member, "A Pet Shop," "A Gazebo," "An Elevator." Then a scene is played... BUT what if the...

Dig Deeper
ANDTheatre Company See all classes by this school @ 244 W 54th St, New York, NY
Pain, joy, anger, sadness, excitement: those feelings and emotions often occur when we do Improv. However, more often than not they are underperformed. We get the idea, the icing on the cake, but we don't take the time to enjoy the depth and repercussions of these emotions. Starting with overacting and over reacting, you will break your self-imposed barriers and be able to explore emotions and reactions and find out just how far you can go and how...

In this workshop you’ll have the opportunity to practice multiple approaches for practicing agreement and supporting the process of discovery and creation.

Virtual Improv Workshop
Firstly, the class was 90 minutes rather than 60 (and even ran over) so even better value than it looks. Secondly, I have been to improv classes before but learnt a lot from this one. It was a drop-in class for people of all abilities (from first timers to people who have been doing it for years) but everyone took away something, and the teacher was good and highlighting ways to improve without sounding at all negative. And the standard was pretty decent. -

Free Improv Workshop
Really fun class and the instructor was engaging and welcoming! They are very strict about not letting people who arrive a bit late participate, which was disappointing since I came with a friend. I understand their policy but with such a small group, it would have been easy to be a bit more flexible. Because we weren't able to fully participate, we ended up leaving early. -
